Parking improvements begin at Normal St. PDF Print E-mail
San Diego Communities - Hillcrest
Tuesday, 29 September 2009 13:58

Councilmember Todd Gloria joined community members and San Diego city staff yesterday to break ground on improvements to the Normal Street median in Hillcrest.

The median improvement project will help in addressing the community’s parking problems, which has plagued the area for awhile. Local parking meter revenue is being combined with city resources to make the project possible.

The improvements will aim to improve parking availability near the popular University Ave. business corridor. The project was spearheaded by community members and the Uptown Partnership, a community parking advocate group.
