Encinitas council to consider railroad crossing plans PDF Print E-mail
San Diego Cities - Encinitas
Monday, 12 October 2009 13:01
The Encinitas City Council will be asked Wednesday whether it wants to continue with plans to build three pedestrian tunnels under railroad tracks or create at-grade railroad crossings where people can legally walk across tracks, according to the North County Times. At-grade crossings will cost around $500,000 while each underpass structure is estimated at $5 million. The city has been drafting plans for the underpass structures for several years, but has recently indicated it would like a cheaper option.
