The Oceanside City Council approved an increase in water and sewage rates yesterday, reported the North County Times. The average water bill for a typical single-family homeowner will rise from $42.42 to $50.82. An average sewage bill will be $45.48, up from $35.11. The increases were needed to remove a credit watch place on the city by the bond rating agency Standard & Poor's.
