Three local community groups have filed a lawsuit challenging the January 2009 decision by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management to approve the Sunrise Powerlink transmission line, reported KPBS. SDG&E's multi-billion dollar project will locate electrical transmission lines through 120 miles of land in Imperial Valley and San Diego County.
